This unique RTV silicone elastomer coating is designed to prevent pollution-induced flash-over on high-voltage outdoor insulators. Engineered for harsh and highly polluted environments, the coating forms a durable protective layer that enhances electrical system reliability and operational safety.

Planning & Strategy

Using advanced hydrophobic silicone technology, the coating prevents the formation of conductive pollution layers on insulator surfaces. Its hydrophobicity transfers to surface contaminants, maintaining insulation performance even under severe environmental conditions such as dust, salt, industrial pollution, and moisture.
  • Hydrophobic silicone elastomer technology with low molecular weight silane migration
  • Contact angle greater than 100°, transferable to contaminants
  • Withstands power arcs and corona discharge
  • Self-recovering hydrophobicity after arcing or surface stress
  • Strong adhesion to glass, ceramic, and resin insulators (with compatible primer)
  • 100% UV and ozone resistant; resistant to chemicals, oils, and petrol
  • Performs reliably down to -50°C
  • Humidity-independent curing with no shrinkage
  • Field performance with no reported pollution flash-overs since 1991
